I wonder how long it'll take for the bacteria to mutate to affect the
birds contacted by migrating finches...
As for feeders, can't you put your feeders out away from the house in
some corner where YOUR birds don't go? Just wear some outside-only boots
to walk near that feeder, and wash well with a disinfectant soap before
handling Nigel and Zigs.
