Strong Poison is indeed a Lord Peter Wimsey mystery.  It is the first of the 
four LPW books which also feature mystery writer Harriet Vane.
Following it are HAVE HIS CARCASE, GAUDY NIGHT, and BUSMAN'S HONEYMOON.
As I recall, the events of MURDER MUST ADVERTISE take place before GAUDY 
NIGHT (Peter makes an allusion to them early in GN).
