MV> And it looks like Mr. Chet Atkins might not be winning his battle
MV> against cancer.
Chet has been a hero of mine ever since I first heard his
playing. But it's more than just his playing that I admire;
I've never heard or read anything that even hints that he
is less than a true "country gentleman" at all times, the
sort of person who knows he's a role-model for others and
takes that responsibility seriously. Even his battle
against cancer bears this out -- he deals with it in
private, the same way he deals with everything that belongs
outside the spotlight.
MV> There are some aspects to life I just hate.
I firmly believe that death is nothing to fear or even
dislike; _dying_, however, is a lousy way to spend time.
That's what makes "a long illness" such a chilling phrase.
