subject: Address manipulation

Hello Kai.

27 Jan 07 05:04, you wrote to me:

The address as it comes from the originating system is a full valid e-mail
address, around here bandwidth is still limited and very expensive, so I am
not too happy about sending out "naked" e-mail addresses to the
world, not if
I can avoid it, using some sort of a translation table here, if need be, tho
I'd rather not ...

No reason as it should do anything with my msgbase at all, when the msgs get
scanned out the get piped to a filter that reads the table and does the
required translation, and the same when replies are tossed, they are piped to
the filter, then tossed to the msgbase ... , a schlep, but might be required
... :-((

The msgbase is none the wiser ... , this has to be done before and after the
msgs get tossed/scanned ...

That would be the best solution, but might not be easily achieved or practical
... ,

I like having all bases covered, even the "bad" ones ... :-)
