Hi Wendy:
WB> So far this week I've put the hem back in two pairs of Tom's pants,
WB> sewn the cuff back on one of his white shirts, sewn on 3 buttons
I am having to do the same thing to my DH's clothes. I made his uniforms for
work because he is such a big guy, and the uniforms that they rent him at
work are not as comfortable as what I have sewn him. In the last 2 weeks, I
have replaced a button on jeans, reattached a belt loop, and finished up a
pair of jeans I started 2 months ago. (He got a little bigger since I cut
them out, so I am glad they were out of STRETCH denim.) I made my seams as
small as I could, hope they hold. I used my triple stitch on the back seam.
And I didn't break any needles!
WB> have left which wasn't beyond repair. Now maybe I can start on my
WB> new nightgowns. I have a pattern and one old worn-out nightie to
Boy, great minds must run in the same direction. I have made myself a
nightgown and p.j.s in the last few months, and have fabric for a robe.
WB> What will you be working on now that your tree skirt is done?
After I finished this, I made a log cabin flag. One corner was a blue field
with 4 pinwheels in it, and the stripes were diagonal in red and white. Came
out to 19 x 29 and really cute for being made totally out of scraps. I
really like it. Just fits the front door.
I made a hot air balloon quilt block last night. It isn't perfect, but I
wanted to try the pattern and see how it looked. I like it, but will make a
few changes to it.
Keep on sewing.
Teresa
