Hi, Dane.

I just got the Hobbes Archived edition today, I ordered it from the Public
Domain and Shareware Library for 21 Pounds Sterling. You may well be better
off ordering it direct from Walnut Creek though (voice 1 510 674-0783,
email info{at}cdrom.com).
The uncompressed version lets you run stuff off the CD, but has less on.
DW> Has anyone used these, and how do they run under OS/2 v3?
Since this is OS2PROG I assume you mean the compilers, not Hobbes itself...
The version of EMX on the disk I got is 0.8h, which I have used and works
okay, although 0.9a is available now, so I think I've been sent an
out-of-date Hobbes (well, it does say August 94 on the cover). GCC/2 is
also on the CD; I've had bad experiences with that before, although I think
I had an incomplete installation. There's also a sort of C interpreter for
doing scripting in, and a Pascal compiler or two (none of which I've
tried).
There may well be some other compilers on it, but I haven't searched in any
great detail yet.
Andrew.
