It has not been a good week in politics:

1.  During the campaign, Obama told us that he would introduce "timely,
targeted and temporary" economic stimulus and budget measures to correct the
Bush "mess."  After we made the mistake of electing him, Obama realized he
had no idea what he was doing and punted the budget to the two geniuses who
run Congress, Speaker Facelift and Harry Reid.  The budget they handed back
had a single year deficit of $1.9 trillion.  Trillion.  Today the Euro
traded at $1.43 and oil continues to go up.  Our skank secretary of state
tried to calm the Chinese about this problem so that they would continue to
buy our debt, but they have now balked.  Countries around the world are
looking to replace the dollar as their reserve currency as the dollar
contunies to bleed value.  Folks, this is serious, and the idiot in the Oval
Office has no idea how to fix it.

2.  General Motors is now owned by the UAW and the United States
Goverrnment.  Oldsmobile and Pontiac are no more.  Hummer is now owned by
foreigners.

3.  After some deranged idiot murdered an abortion doctor out in Kansas,
Obama and the Justice Department released statements of strong condemnation,
declaring that such a thing would not be tolerated.  Obama dispatched
federal marshals to protect abortion clinics.  After some terrorist mudered
an American soldier and wounded a second, one could hear cricket from the
White House and the Justice Department.  There is nothing I can add to this.

4.  Sonia Sotomayor says that the legal decisions and opinions of a Hispanic
woman will be better than those of an Anglo male.  Columnists are refering
to this delusion as the "wise Latina school of jurisprudence." 
Again, there
is nothing I can add to this.

5.  Steve Wolff, formerly of Newsweek, is about to release his book,
"Renegade: the Making of a President" about the Obama campaign.  In the
book, Obama calls Cigar Willy "a bald faced liar" and "a
loose cannon."
Obama refused to ask Hillary to be veep because he regards Cigar to be "a
liability."  Can't fault a man for telling the truth.
