Still out of work, but possibly going to be "working" part-time for free soon for Imvector (see http://www.imvector.com) to gain some more modern experience. I've mostly been doing C, but want to break out of that rut before I'm HOPELESSLY obsolete! Ideally I'd like to do some Java, but it's tough convincing potential employers to hire me to do it, when all I've done is take classes and practice it on my own, not previously convince some OTHER employer to pay me to do it. (Classic Catch-22.) At least I did finally get some real C++ experience on my last job. Meanwhile, at least Esther is employed, so I'm not panicking, but I am getting bored, and frustrated banging my head against the job wall. My resume is available online at http://destined.to/program, and I'd really appreciate any suggestions (and of course any help). Before you ask, as everybody in the DC area does, no, I have no clearances.
