incorrect part...most of the time it is phonetically correct. And I am
challenging them - if I wasn't I would just give them the word. Other
times, when I am too busy and there are too many other words to spell, I
will ask the child to look the word up in their spelling dictionary -
that is a learning/teaching strategy in its own right.
My favourite saying is Challenge for Success. That is the challenge
should be appropriate and not set the child up for constant failure.
