JR> Init v`^`&f&C1&D2X4
Try this: AT&F1&C1&D2X4
The &F you use is for the #0 template and 1 is the for the #1
template. Basically it just tells your modem to use hardware flow control or
software control (Xon/Xoff). Shouldn't really make a difference but when I
use the &F I don't get an ARQ connection or data compression. The X4 should
make it detect busy signals though. Do you need to add an ^M at the end?
You need to have a carriage return for the modem to acknowledge the init
string.
