Hello Mike, 'tis a nice day today.
MP> Is CYMB another way of saying "color"? Are heavy duty appliance
MP> better suited for USB, rather than parallel ports?
My apologies here for mistyping this acronym, it is CMYK and
stands for Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black ( if I got this right this time ).
I just checked and that is proper, ref: Canon User's manual.
And indeed, it stands for a colour printing mode. I was told
that the USB port is faster than the LPT1 regardless of using
black/white or colour mode, for the same printer ! I have a Lexmark Z32
here that has both connectors and obviously, it is using the USB port.
