i just discovered this track this evening. it sounds great. what a
charge it is to hear george like this. from the extra texture album this
guitar. notes from txt file below. any info on this appreciated. tks...

A source close to the project regarding the new version of "This Guitar"
tells me some new recording on the song took place on Saturday 3/18/06
at Mark Hudson's Whatinthewhathe? Studio in Los Angeles. Adding to the
track was Ringo on drums and tambourine, Hudson on bass and background
vocals, and Dhani Harrison and Dave Stewart on electric guitars. And,
yes, that is George playing that beautiful acoustic guitar in the
opening (as well as singing). The original recording, by the way, is
from 1992, says the source. Matt Hurwitz
