It's me again from Sequim, WA. I have a friend who is interested in
getting into the merchant marine industry. He currently has a seaman's
card and is 25yrs old. Experience limited to fishing and crabbing
vessels. How would he go about getting hired on a merchant vessel? Do
you know of any trade schools etc. that my help him accomplish this.
He is kinda desperate, as the sea is calling! Please let me know if you
have any suggestions, or any net working contacts.

On another matter. I sold a motorcycle this week and purchased all the
goodies to put on that sailboat I was telling you about. Looks like I'm
going to be busy this winter. I will be using your idea on the lexan
windows. I will probably mount them in a rubber gasket system, similar
to a car windshield. Will keep you posted.
