subject: `My Documents` direc

Mark,
MK>I'd like to change "My Documents" to a new driver letter and
MK>delete all the old stuff, but Windows tells me that the
MK>subdirectory "C:\My Documents" is a "system" file and can't be
MK>removed. Any ideas???
You need to run Win95's REGEDIT and edit the folder settings in your
Registry. Run Regedit and serch for My Documents, when it gives you the
listings, just change it to whatever you want; then hit F3 to go to the
next setting. You need to do this for all entries in the registry. You
will then also have to go into Word and change the file location under
Options.
Be sure to BACK UP your System.dat and User.dat files BEFORE you mess
around with the registry, until you've had some practice with it.
