RS> for a while, bye bye some mail. Same for the machine crash situation RS> that Bill was talking about, presumably some mail just went forever. BG> Actually, it wasn't a crash, but the actual theft on one of the main BG> feed's PC that really stuffed up my mail for over a week up here. Yeah, I realised that and just didnt bother to spell out all the detail. I just meant that mail can get lost forever when a machine disappears. BG> Looks like when he finally replaced his system, his uplink hadn't BG> kept packets for him (dunno why), Jeeze thats pretty fucked. Maybe he just didnt have enough space and didnt have much choice. BG> and a whole week's worth of mail just disappeared forever Thats unspeakable, some of those would have been mine |-) BG> (including a fucking lot of my own replies as well). :-( Well, those dont matter a damn |-) Which particular node went out under someones arm ? --- PQWK200* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
