CA> Maybe not. It's been awhile since I used BW or it's door(s).

I merely select the QWK menu and all is well.
AAMOF this morning I downloaded my first corrupt QWK
packet in years and had to upload my previous QWK pointer file
recovered with undelete in order to see and reply to this
message. I like QWK. I _did_ mess around with BW for the
trial period before YR2K but at that time was happy with
freeware or at least thought freeware was better on the whole
than the extras BW threw in at it's cost.

 Not seen that one myself.

I'm _pretty_ sure I've done it with a kludge line in the message
body or subject line but can't say for sure.
I experimented a lot in my early days on the computer
and didn't take to a lot of what I tried even though it worked.
I miss the now extranious gateways and the kludge lines
required to go from Fidonet to Inet and back but it's been a while
since I've seen that on a BBS though now they generally just substitute
an e-mail address as yourname{at}bbs.com or whatever.

I've got to get around to installing ATP, I've snagged it
 but haven't yet installed it.

You mean like on this mornings packet download
 which contained your reply?
It's your fault you done hexed the machine
Chowdanet has that rather scarce ability to reset message
pointers either to date or back n number of messages globally.
OTOH I just downloaded from COP in Norway where I hadn't been in
a time and the QWK packet ran almost three meg!
Seems to me the kludge line, assuming there was one, went
something like reset -nn. It's been a long time, if I did it at
all it was but a few times and than still it could be a false
 memory.

telnet Chowdanet.com
This board allows precisely the reset option you desire
in the QWK menu _Y_our settings.

No big deal for me.
