SH> well, the whole country will be rivetted to the box SH> for that totally mindcrushingly dull debate spectacle. SH> what the hell difference should that make .... Sometimes it does Sam, like when Kennett flushed the shambles of the labor socialist left down the tubes rather spectacularly. Or when young Wayne ended up with a HELL of a surprise. SH> but to answer my own question, the electorate SH> are as politically mindless as our politicians ... I'm not convinced, sometimes they do get sufficiently pissed off to do what makes sense, most obviously with Kennett recently. The Canadians were ever more interesting, took the conservatives who once even governed federally and reduced them to a rump of just TWO elected politicians. Ruined the partys day just a tad |-) We did a similar thing with Whitlam, tho not quite so spectacularly. SH> so no doubt it will have a great impact... Sure, federally they are very close together and it really doesnt matter too much who wins really. Corse that also means that we might as well give the other side a go and get some fresh blood and give the remnants of the unions a good kicking while we have the chance too. @EOT: ---* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/809 934 |
