WMcB is very competent when using the C++ programming language
and has worked with the code for MM long enough to have almost
memorized the entire source code. His determination to keep MM
coded to compile on multiple platforms is exceptional and he
seems to be doing all of this without assistance and at a time
when FIDO is diminishing WMcB has not abandoned his 'project'
as many others have. Had he chosen FreeDOS, LAME, or some
longer-lived expanding audience he would be in line to be as
well known as Peter Norton was in his time. 

Having said that, he is also difficult to persuade and can
become annoyed when others do not agree with his 'vision' for
MM. It took me almost a year to convince him people would use
an XT version of MM and that it was doable. He rewrote MM to
compile for the XT but now he won't talk to me anymore. I guess
he's afraid I will start asking for a version for the
PalmPilot. LOL
