The setting was 129, apparently changed from the default 128 in the 1.3 rom. 
I tried reducing it by twos down to 121 without effecting any apparent change 
in the connect rates with the 33.6 capable Courier that I'm most concerned 
about, the NEC. The connects continued to be at 26400. I jumped to S191=111 
and still no change. I have reset it to S191=128 unless you think that 
further experimentation with that setting would be worthwhile.
