Hi CLARENCE,
****
CH> BTW, took note of your other message on the BBS today on Yahweh
CH> and noted that you spelled it Yahveh and since the Moabite stone
CH> and Dead Sea Scrolls show it Yahweh (according to my research),
CH> where is it shown as Yahveh? As this is a most important issue to
CH> this old man, for He is to be called by His declared Mighty Name!
The Hebrew letters transliterated into English are YHWH. The "w" or "v" is
called a "vav" or "waw" in Hebrew. I wish I could post it here for you but
ascii doesn't do truetype fonts:) So, the "waw" (pronounced "wow") or
"vav" (pronounced "vov") refer to the same letter. Germans tend to use j's
for English y's and v's where we would use a "w". The Hebrew letter "waw"
is the rough equivalent of the English "w" and sometimes the English "v".
Hope that isn't too confusing.
Hang in there old man:) How is everything going?
Sincerely in Christ,
Charlie Ray,
