I just discovered the Atari program recorder can play music off the tape
while a program is loading. Just the solution! Record a tape to go along
with the disk, and the computer can control the tape and play it while the
loads are going on. That can explain the transition between the different
pieces of the game, much as the old Atari 2600 manuals (and sometimes, comic
books) explained what the heck "Yar's Revenge" (something about mutated
insects, force fields and a Zorlon cannon) was supposed to mean.
