Other than that the sockets interface is similar to Berkeley Unix sockets and somewhat similar to Winsock. I'd suggest a book "Programming WINSOCK" by Arthur Dumas (SAMS Publishing 1995). It is heavily Visual C++ oriented but the general information may be of use. Or you can go with a Unix oriented text.
