You don't loose anything, but the parser wont acceppt it.

Thats one way to do it. Personaly I would prefere a central SQL server to
hold the data and to generate the XML file every now and then. But there is
several other possible solutions. But we dont need to specify that.

An XML parser wouldn't acceppt the XML document at all if the file is not
valid. It would exit with an error message, telling you what line is
invalid.
