Hello Wayne -

CA>> Ever run across the BOFH files?

WC>> Nope, not a clue.

Comedy text files about a sysadmin who lies, cheats, steals,
and sabotages to keep his job.

What I mean is often the libraries required by a particular
browser are not the same ones that are used by your
distribution/version of Linux which means you have to add to
what you have creating 'bloat'.

I really get stressed out when I find myself in a situation
like that. Good that you knew what you had to do. :-)

It's been 16 years for me.

I am annoyed that ISPs change long-established practices
without any consideration for all the software they are going
to 'break' and it annoys me that much of the software combined
two separate functions into one with no way to separate them.
Many DOS programs are failing because of these two things.

That is what I did, cotton swab and dupe backups. At $20 per
tape I was not happy with using tapes.
