++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service   http://www.os2voice.org ++

From: jvwDESPAM@DESPAMdfsee.com

The DFSee 14.8 release had a minor refresh

 - The OS/2 and Windows version now support updating through the help menu
 just like the Linux and macOS versions already had, and the required
 WGET utility needed wityh that is available as a convenience from:

 http://www.dfsee.com/downloads/index.php

 - On Windows/macOS/Linux, the DFSee version/contents is shown in the window
title

The refresh is mainly to streamline the delivery/update process for the
various versions to make the transiotion to the next major version easier.

If you already downloaded and installed version 14.8, there is no functional
need to update, except if you want to use the new OS/2 or Windows feature to
update through the DFSee menu itself ...

Direct download links from the DFSee website:

 http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee_install.zip
 http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee_windows.msi
 http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee_os2_wpi.exe
 http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee_linux.tgz
 http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee_macos.tgz

 http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee14x_iso.zip
 http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee14x_stick_iso.zip

As has been the case for a while, EXPERIMENTAL or BETA versions
of DFSee can always be downloaded from:

 http://www.dfsee.com/downloads/index.php

That is the same version as available from the DFSee menu:

 Help ->
 Program Updates / Downloads ->
 Get Latest Experimental/Beta

Regards, JvW
