Mike,

MP{at}> No, as it is restricted to sysops you should not have access. Let me
MP{at}> know if you do. :)

With the BBS packages I've run (GT Power, Synchronet, and now VADV32), I
used to set the [ADM] and Sysop areas for Confirmed Visiting Sysops. Now,
I just set them to my level (255, the highest allowed)...then no one else
gets access to them. Besides, if the Visiting Sysop is part of a same BBS
message network that I am, they should have that area, and be able to reply
to it, on their BBS.

As a side note, I know that GT Power handles netmail and echomail
differently than FIDONet...and one HAS to be running GT Power software
to get the netmail and echomail. I knew that current developer Tom Watt
had made it freeware for non-commercial use, but that the GT Power Sysop
echoes and the netmail programs were PROPRIETARY for GT Power Sysops. But,
I think he was going to get away from any further development on the
netmail programs, and messages would be transferred by QWK Networking
with the BGNet utility (I think B.J. Guiliot made that freeware awhile
back, but I'm not sure...I know BGFAX is now freeware). Former GT Sysop
Bill Watts had files on his system that allowed GT Sysops to integrate
FIDONet style networks into their system.

Over here, while the FIDONet to GT utilities are available to all users,
I've kept the Netmail programs access ONLY to Confirmed GT Power Sysops,
who provide the garbled Netmail password for versions 14-19.
