I use Thunderbird for Email on my XP machine.

If I am at a web page in Firefox that I want to send in an Email to someone
I will Copy the URL shown in Firefox's Address Bar, and then Paste it in to
the message I'm writing in Thunderbird.

I know what I'm writing to You, is "Elementary, Watson", but I'm sorry to
learn that You are having Email problems, and just thought I'd say what I do,
and also write to let You know the Big LID is still around.

BTW, Since November last year when I Compacted messages in TB and the several
thousand messages that were in my In-Box disappeared, I have found some
MozBackup files that I've saved, but I'm concerned if I Restored the last
MozBack file I made, would all the messages in the TB In-Box and the other
sub-folders below the In-Box which I have received since I had to start over
be Erased?

Guess I ought to take a look-see at the MozBackup web site, HUH?

I'd appreciate knowing if You or anyone else can assist me in getting my copy
of Thunderbird to Behave. Thank You.

Until the Compact Crash in November 2015 I had been using Thunderbirds In-Box,
to keep all the messages that I wanted to Save, which included the many
Emails that You and many Others have sent to me.

Since last November I have been Moving Email messages that come in the In-Box,
that I want to keep, down in to a sub-folder (SUB-DIRECTORY) below the In-Box
because none of the messages were lost that I had stored in any of those
sub-folders after I Compacted TB last November. Very Strange.

73 and HTH . .
