I seem to recall that not being able to subscribe and unsubscribe within a BW door was a limitation of the BW door? Maybe not. It's been awhile since I used BW or it's door(s). The maintainer of MM wrote a door, VALENCE?, but I don't see it being used often and don't 'get around' to many BBS anymore either. WC> However I've not figured out how or if it's possible to set WC> message pointers somehow. Seems to me IIRC there was a WC> kludge for doing so offline but I may be wrong on that one. I don't think there is/was. Again, not sure. I've not used the ability to subscribe/unsubscribe offline for quite some time and in ATP it has to be done manually. There is no automated function for that even in the one I rewrote that I use daily. I didn't have a need for that at the time. I could add it but am not needing it now either. Many/most BBS sorely need a function to globally reset message pointers to "date" and newer. Several BBS will reset message pointers even on failed downloads which does still happen from time to time. :-\ Even new users might prefer to just scan FIDO from "date" rather than go through the somewhat tedious chore of setting each message area individually. This process discourages me from adding additional echos to my QWK downloads. I really don't like the user-interface and avoid it if at all possible. > > , , > o/ Charles_Angelich - DOS Ghost \o , > __o/ > / > www.undercoverdesign.com/dosghost/faf/ < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
