Technically yes, and most nodes are 24/7 anyway so no worries. But a point
can pick up mail at will, no need to be online during mail hour.

Sure, if that's what they want to do that would be good for them and for
fido. Even a point is good for fido I think and if that works for them I
think that is good too.
