heh heh heh. That's a kicker, ain't it? I backed it down to 40 grains
of Blue Dot. Are you using it with the WAA12R red wad and the Win AA
hull? For that combination, I backed it down to 40 grains of Blue
dot.
Also a little lighter one was where I used a plastic Federal Hunting
hull with paper basewad ("Hi Power" or "Dove" or "Game load")
with 44 grains and the WAA12R wad.
I seemed to get more accuracy with loads using the WAA12F114 wad, than
with the WAA12R wad. What's your most accurate load with the 525 Lyman
slug?
You shoulda seen me testing the first loads. I laid cardboard down on
the firing line, laid shotgun down on cardboard, tied a string to
trigger, laid carboard over the shotgun, laid a 2x4 over the top
cardboard, stood off to side with one foot on the 2x4", and pulled
string. I figured if it was going to blow up, I'd rather injure foot
than blow off head. I shoot them in a bolt action 12 ga, and yikes,
is that a shoulder killer.
