Greetings Steve and Michiel. 1:397/5258 just recently joined this echo
(after the message(s) referred to above). As  someone who has been in fido
since the early '90s, AND works in a public library with both Gates
Foundation Grant public access computer, and in-house produced public
access computers, the above content caught my attention. Could you recap
the discussion on this thread that I missed? I might have some ideas or
comments in this area.

As for the message's subject; I used to say that I intended to be the last
node in fidonet; but since the growth of fido in russia, I may have to
settle for the distinction of being the last fido node in zone 1. ;-)
