Howdy! Ben, I got the notebook back together again but still can't use it. When I turn it on I see the regular coloring on the Display for 1/4th of a second and then it shows Ten wide vertical bands with many thin vertical lines in each band. While it was open I did see that the holder for the CMOS Cell had a + Mark on it and I could see the + Mark on the CR1220 Cell. So I know I put the 1220 in properly the first time I opened it up. As I was putting it back together I thought of Holger because I think that He uses a notebook and iirc He also does Service on Computers in His Shop. Those things were not made for Fat Fingers. I did try being careful about Static. So I may not had been as careful as I thought, since the display is messed up. I know the BIOS is working because after it is turned on, one minute later the screen goes dark, and that is the Default setting for the BIOS. I touch a Key and wait one minute and it goes blank again. To me that says the BIOS is working. That is as much as I think I know. Stay Tuned for another episode............ ...
