Thanks, I looked at those two articles and a bunch more last night but
still didn't see any Map with a E J grid located at Louisville, Kentucky.
I never heard the term "Maidenhead Locator System" B4, I think HamGrid is
what I've heard it called by.

I am in the EM78 Grid using that Maidenhead system.
That is close to EJ but EM sounds really far away from EJ as I live only
~ 5.0 Miles (measuring with a ruler on a map) from the place where I
remember the EJ grid being shown on the Plotting Table in the GOC Filter
Center, and EM to me would seem to me to be a VERY BIG jump over the EK
and EL grids.
I used QRZ.COM and learned that the place I remembered in the EJ grid is
also in the EM78 grid, it just has a different set of Lower Case Letters
after it than what my location has.
The Air Force closed the GOC Filter Center in Louisville in the mid-1950's
and used their Filter Center in Lexington, Kentucky to handle calls from
Observation Posts in its area.
I took Observer Training after the Filter Center closed, so when the GOC
had Exercises I helped man the Post and called reports in to the Filter
Center in Lexington and identified the Observer Post as:
Echo Juliet One One Red.
The last meeting the Air Force had for GOC Observers was to tell us the
GOC Program wasn't needed anymore because a range of RADAR Stations had
had been built across Canada, that was in 1957 or 1958 iir.
That is why I have been looking for a grid map that has the grid EJ marked
in the Louisville, KY area. Memories, Memories, Memories.........
I will have to study a bit to figure out how Juliet would be figured from
Zero Degree Latitude to just above North 38 Degree Latitude where I'm at.
Juliet is the Tenth Letter of the Alphabet so my guess is each grid on
the Plotting Table was 15 Degrees Wide by 4.222 Degrees High???????????????
Good enuf for me Vern. But I might not be even close in my calculations.
