Would that were the case .

Indeed - and it should be remembered just how close the echo came to
being totally dead.  I would not like to do *anything* to upset the
applecart at this stage in the game.

Agreed.  That was the point I made to Duncan.  Midi is only *part*
of the process, there still remains a need to get the results into a
format for other users and the methods for achieving this should
remain open for discussion in here.
I'm hoping he will agree.
