Hello Wayne -

I totally scrambled a floppy while trying to fix the PPP login
because I forgot to unmount it. Scared me off that it could've
been my hard drive instead.

CA>> However the instructions you are looking for are a

WC> Yeah that's in the Basic Linux hard drive zipped module.

I'm told the instructions are quite good and all goes well. :-)

WC> Why multiboot? as long as you've got access to a DOS

I don't want multiple format partitions all on one drive.

Both of my machines are Compaq.

I intend to have only Linux on the hard drive of whatever
machine I use.

I don't use Netscape's mail.

I have enough equipment to setup a machine as my 'firewall' if
need be and am aware of ZoneAlarm. I put ZA on my brother's
machine.

Linux has some determined children who are often born to
parents with more money than brains. Some of these children can
be extremely resourceful and destructive. One of them is my
afore-mentioned 'apprentice' turned Linux zealot. The upside is
he can probably tell me what I need to do to make it more
difficult if not impossible to hack into my machine. I just may
not like all that is required.
