So the theory goes - these worthies verified the notion by 
dividing a group of typical English students at random into two, 
weighed them on special scales and then sent them running or 
walking around a normalised quod on a standard-issue British 
summer's day.  Everybody was reweighed on their return, when the 
runners were signifigantly heavier than the walkers, at a p>0.005.

Nobly done,  I felt, even though there was no attempt to 
extrapolate the results to, say, ordinary Kiwis who might well be 
denied the same consequence because of some Coriolic variable and 
be forced to attain a similar level of p by processing pint upon 
pint of pale Pilsener....
