 >>>> XML is good for local, not for global wide use.

ac>>> I don't know where you got that idea.

ac> I understood the context, but...

 >> I should have said:
 >> "As_far_as_FidoNet_is_concerned, XML is good for local, not for global
 >> wide use."

 ac> You haven't said why.

Why do you send all wrongs my way?

We're talking FidoNet, remember, and we did agree that we have a number
of unupgradeble nodes you nor me want to loose, didn't we?

ac>>> "XML was designed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to
ac>>> streamline data exchange across the Internet.

 >> W3C is not all of the internet. XML may be fine as it is but there
 >> is no single cure for all pains.

ac> I don't think anyone is suggesting it is "the final solution". But
ac> it is probably the best option for a "next step".

We'll nead an intermediate step in order to mend broken 'things' (I
have no better expression yet, as I still have no clue as to what exactly
is broken) so the nodelist can provide part of the input for anything newer
and better.
