When you say "Outlook" on your system with old messages, I am
assuming you mean "Outlook Express" and not "Microsoft
Outlook", right?   If so..   your old messages should be stored in
.DBX files in a subdirectory called "\Identities".   (Just do a
search to confirm full path name.).   If the old messages are stored in
subfolders, then each subfolder will have its own .DBX file.
