I think yes to a limited extent.As one of the off topic culprits,
I would say that most serious midi musicians are also heavily into
both using midi equipment and audio hardware (and in most cases they
are literaly connected).
You are right in that maybe there has been a little wandering off
topic,but given that there is not a whole lot of traffic at the moment
I'd just let it go. Arguments about whether Gibson or Fender has the
right scale length would be clearly off topic  ;-)

Thats true,but I'm sure its equally true that you don't want to drive
away posters who hopefully have something to offer the echo.
