Sure they do, all the time, but they use alias' and such and claim to
have bbs' at 1-xxx-PRi-VaTe or some such thing. Some pirate groups compete
with others to see hwo can release a bug-free break first, same day is
optimum, first hour is better, and if they can do it before it's even
'officially' released, that's best. (and, no, I'm not involved with *any*
piracy group)

Then ask your sysop to do it for you. My mailer only accepts calls
rom
nodes listed in the current Fidonet nodelist, and that doesn't include
points. Nor does my system allow uploads from any unregistered user.
All you really need is the UUENCODE/UUDECODE program and access to
netmail. Again, your sysop is the best one to help you there.

someone

Nope, I never could see any sense to qwk-based off-line mail readers
when running a mailer and operating as a point is much more efficient.

Yes I do, as well as a mail hub feeding over 35 nodes their daily 'fix'
of echomail. Typically 7 megs in, and almost 50 megs out, each day. That's
why I run the bbs on a 486DX/4-100 with a 1 gigabyte hard drive and a 33.6
V.Everything USRobotics modem. Gotta move that mail!

      Sometimes it takes time.

No need to do that. Just bow ten times, four times a day while facing
Saskatoon, repeating aloud, "Oh Great One, Oh Great One".
