Are you referring to Chicago Daley-type legislation aimed at
"people hiding behind the legality of the Constitution" ? What part
of the Constitution don't you like? preamble? body? amendments?
There's nothing wrong with disliking the US Constitution, or
disliking parts of it. That's what the Amendment process is for --
change or improve those parts.
OTOH you'll get little sympathy from me on "interpreting" or
end-running based on your dislike of the Constitution or a part.
The text of the Constitution; the notes, commentaries and debates by
it's authors; and all the other documents related to it's enactment
make it's intent clear to anyone.
Constitutionally there's nothing in the NRA position that can be
called "extremist" by any sense of the word.
