  I don't personally know of ANY Fido message echoes that
are gated to USENET (although I suppose that it IS possible
that such gating DOES occur). If they wish to poll a UUCP
gateway, all Fido nodes CAN send and receive Internet email
but I don't know of anyone doing an echo gate. It IS poss-
ible to gate Fido echoes to other type networks [the BBS
program that I am setting up has a support echo that orig-
inates as a .QWK network echo, but is also gated to Fido
(Fidonet technology with FOSSIL drivers/mailers) AND to
RIME/RelayNet (Postlink technology with UTI drivers)].
