From what the machinist at my place said, "Why?"  
Seems like it would cause far more problems that it 
would cure.  In fact, many boaters I know will not allow 
propane on their boats in any form or fashion, as it has 
the bad habit of being heavier than regular air and far 
more likely to cause an explosion...  
... Trust me, the deck always flexes this way...
