Hi Rob!
I appreciate your help. There are only 2 problems: I cannot find a mixer
program either in Win-OS/2 or in the disks that came with my SB16. I went to
their website to see if there was a mixer there. No joy there either.
Secondly, even without the mixer program it makes sense to me that there
ould
be a way of accessing the microphone from Win-OS/2 and that if Win-OS/2 is
shutting it off that could certainly explain the problem. So I should be
able to use SB16SET to increase the microphone level. Where did you get the
program? Is it possible for you to email it to me using either MIME or
UUEncode? I'm in a bit of a hurry, because I very soon have to decide which
sound card to keep, and if I can get the SB16 working properly, I would
prefer to keep that one because of its better sound and upgrade capabilities.
Thanks for your help.
