Looks like your HP came with an OEM USRobotics WinModem (probably
internal) included with your other hardware & software.  Write down the
information on both modems entries (as above) and toss the second Com 8
entry.  It's going no where and pointing to nothing.  Try your modem, if
it works, you're ok.  If it doesn't put the stuff back like it was.
Or.....call HP.
