Greetings,
AP>Sad to say, it doesn't work. I think that the difference is due to the
ind
AP>link; it would probably work if I used a parallel cable, instead of a
serial
AP>one. The problem is the availability of a parallel port.
AP>LL5 works only with true dos. This machine is a 486/100 32MB with
O
AP>4.0.
My Fido link had been down so I guess I missed the begining of
thread. I'm using LL5 under OS/2 3.0 and am using the supplied LapLink
serial cable without difficulty. However I did have to set up the DOS
settings for the LapLink object to operate _full screen_. Odd but there
it is, LL5 wouldn't work in a box, only full screen. I also had to give
it exclusive control of the serial port and turn off turbo transfer.
File transfers with turbo enabled actually crawled!
Best Regards,
Greg
