I got the recent package. Thank you so much! I love
everything in it. When I'm back to a lower level of
stress I plan on stitching on the handtowels a pattern
from the book of angel x-stitch patterns you sent me.
No, I don't have that one. Fact is, I haven't bought
any x-stitch books in a long while because I already
have more patterns then I'm ever going to be able to
do. :-) The only other totally angel x-stitch book
I have is of Precious Moments angels...the small ones.
I do have angels in many of my other books though.
Thank you too for the bookmark and the chocolate. I
enjoyed the chocolate and the bookmark is in the book
I am currently reading.
My stress has been so high lately because of therapy
(and my pain along with it) that I don't know when I'm
going to go back to doing much x-stitch. If I were to
do it now I would have major problems with miscounting
(I know this from experience!)
But I have other crafts that I am in the process of doing.
A note about that under a different heading...
I loved the paper too. It will come to good use when I make
cards the next time! I still do that on a regular basis.
Helps my stress and coloring is fun. (Coloring for
grown-ups!)
Now, about your questions that you asked me.
I am not an only child. I am the oldest of 3. I have
a brother and a sister.
I haven't always been disabled. I began having the problems
when I was 19. At that point I had surgery and the doctor
screwed up and left me partially paralyzed. Since then
I've been diagnosed with other stuff that supposedly will
make me totally wheelchair confined one of these days. But
it's not today nor this year so I don't worry about it. I
use the wheelchair when there is a lot of walking required
because that is something I can't do. And I have been
lucky enough to find an MD that is willing to help me to
manage the chronic pain issue.
Size t-shirt depends on the brand. Usually XXL. I love
flowers and can be around them. I just cannot tolerate the
man-made frangrances and scents in products. There are
only a few flowers that I am unable to have in the house.
Like Iris' are too strong for inside the apartment, but I
have a lot of them in my garden.
I like children and tolerate cats. I have 4 finches and
a canary and birds and cats don't go together. But I have
friends who love cats so I don't hate them. I babysit
off and on and enjoy doing that, but I also enjoy giving
the children back. :-) At this point I can only
babysit for 3-4 hours at a time. Much longer than that and
I start having trouble.
My favorite song....I think there would probably be two.
"The Warrior Is A Child" by Twila Paris (I sang this one
in church with a background tape when I was still able to
go. It definitely fit me) and "The Touch Of The Master's
Hand" by Wayne Watson. Another one of my favorites I'm
not sure what the name is but it is by Bruce Carol and
the chorus starts "I'm Still Here...You have not been
abandoned though you can't see through your tears..."
My favorite Christian artists would probably be the same
as above along with Carmen. At the moment I've switched to
some of my older records like the carpenters, Peter,Paul, and
Mary, and Neil Diamond simply because the stuff in therapy
is so stressful and I find myself a little angry at God at
the moment. That will pass, though and God can handle me
being angry at Him.
No reason why I like purple. It is simply my favorite color.
I began collecting buttons because it was an inexpensive
hobby and I had all sorts of ideas for how to use them with
my crafts. So, I have craft buttons and buttons in my
collection. The piece of fabric you sent me in January
has been (or is being made) into a pillow. I did all the
top stitching/quilting and added buttons from my collection
to it and my mom is going to put it together. I also have
plans for an alphabet banner, x-stitching the alphabet and
sewing buttons on around the letters that begin with those
letters.
Wendy Buchanan also sent me a piece of fabric some time ago
with buttons on it and that will be turned into a banner to
display some of my metal buttons.
Special childhood memories is something that I cannot answer
at this point. I'm dealing with abuse issues and that is
overwhelming me. Not to say there aren't good things, just
that I can't think of them at the moment.
Hope this answers all the questions you had. :-)
Thank you again!
Wendy
