| subject: | Resources ?? Aargh |
In a message dated 02-02-97, Gerard Gerritsen said to All about Resources ?? Aargh Hi Gerard, GG>I have got a 'little' problem with resources. Indeed you have. GG>I have got GG>- one dll called 'B' with it's own resources linked into the dll GG>- one program called 'A' also with it's own ( different ) resources. You should not have a .RC file for each .c/.cpp file. Instead you should have a single .RC file for the DLL "project" (or whatever your compiler's IDE calls it). Furthermore, you should #include a single header file so that the resource id's can easily be made unique within the project (and kept that way). [You're now going to tell us that you used the same macro names for different resources in the separate .RC files. Tut tut! You'll have to fix that.] Regards Dave ___ * MR/2 2.25 #353 * Windows needs a Shredder icon.
