Hi Paul RM> progressing, but slowly - I bin crook this week. The RM> current bug successfully crashes Turbo Debugger (*not* easy to do), RM> makes the cursor dash diagonally across the screen, and attempts to RM> do a printscreen. Sigh. PE> I have discovered TD386. Have you tried using it? (You'll probably PE> have to exit Desqview first though). BFN. Ta for reminding me. But- I've been doing this project under BC++4, which is a Win app. (I'm getting to like the user interface quite a bit, although I've yet to get a Win program to run...) The Dos debugger v4 is just another icon in the BC folder, and I'd originally thought it as capable as TD386v3, but it ain't. If my app makes a false move or two, Win throws its little hands in the air, shrieks things about "GPF! GPF! Flee! Flee! Reboot Now Or Burn In Hell For Eternity!" So to avoid incessant bloody reboots, I switched back to BC++3.0 (which is really quite quick on my current setup) so I could use TD386v3. Has side effects, though. Qemm can't be used, cos TD386 wants *all* of its 386. And BC3 doesn't run real good under dv, either, so it's a vanilla Dos session. BTW, ta muchly for the mention of the C Snippets file you have. It contained an example of a Dos interrupt that makes >20 file handles available. Needed a few unmentioned extras, but it saved me a poor redesign.
