subject: RE: Watcom C++ 11.0

I sent this to Watcom (sales{at}watcom.com) on Tuesday, 25 Feb:

   My box of Watcom C++ 11.0 arrived as expected yesterday. However, repeated
   searches through the box failed to produce a registration card. The sealed
   envelope -- where one would logically expect it to be -- contained only
   three pieces of paper: the coupon for hardcopy documentation, the coupon
   for an Infobase subscription, and the coupon for the CompuServe offer. I
   realize that you could have preregistered me since I bought the box
   directly from Watcom as a version upgrade, but this has never been done in
   the past and there is no marking on the box to indicate that it is a
   version upgrade only.

I received a reply this morning, 26 Feb:

   Thank you for your message. There has been a packaging error with these
   boxes and some do not have registration cards. We are sending a package
   to you with a registration card.... We encourage you to send in your
   permanent registration number once you receive it in the mail. Please let
   me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
